			Tipiwalk specialise in guided walking holidays in central Portugal. Their main focus is walking which is the best way to discover this beautiful region up close.
			Walking routes have been meticulously researched, scenic footpaths lead to hidden villages, stunning panaromic scenery and crystal clear mountain lakes and rivers such as the Rio Mondego, Zézére, Ribeira de Pera, Alge and the Barragem do Cabril. Tipiwalk transport your luggage to each pre-arranged camp site, leaving you free of heavy bags and ruck sacks.
			A common misconception is that walking holidays are only for the ultra-fit who can keep up a quick pace over rough terrain. The truth is that anyone who enjoys fresh air, nature, beautiful surroundings and the company of like minded people will love walking holidays with Tipiwalk.
			Your accommodation is a fully equipped 'Topas' Tipi Tent (25m³ and 3.6m high). Although Topas Tipi's are capable of sleeping up to 14 people, Tipiwalk only ever accommodate a maximum of 4 people per tent to ensure you have plently of space, privacy and for greater comfort.
			Itinery
			On your day of arrival you will be met at Pombal railway station and transported to base camp in Pedrógão Grande where you will spend 3 days getting to know the area with your guide, walking, canoeing and swimming. Tipiwalk tailor your holiday to your specific abilities, there are no rigid timetables to follow.
			A Typical Day
			Afer a delicious breakfast your morning walk will begin at 8:30am. Your guide will escort you to local places of interest through forest footpaths, each route is specifically chosen for its great scenery and historic interest.
			When you arrive at your mid-day destination, lunch will be waiting at one of the many fabulous riverside locations. Lunch is usually a 2 hour break which will give you plenty of time for relaxing in the sunshine, sitting in the shade, taking a cool dip in the crystal clear mountain water or learning to canoe.
			Afternoon walks will take you in the direction of your overnight accommodation. As the daylight draws to a close you will find yourself at one of the pre-arranged camp sites where your tipi and shower and toilet facilities will be ready and waiting for you. Tipiwalk's catering experience will guide you through a varied Portuguese evening meal menu (and they also add a twist of Flemish style cuisine). If you have any special dietry requirements please let us know when you make your reservation. After dinner you will have the evening to yourself to sit around the Finnmark fireplace where you can spend the late hours together, chatting and enjoying each others company under a star packed night sky.
			Full and Half Day Guided Canoeing
			Tipiwalk also offer full day and half day guided canoeing with lunch included to non guests. After a short safely talk your experienced guide will teach you the skills required. Canoe the beautiful Rio Zézére, take in the stunning natural and unspoilt surroundings as you glide through the water in one of our Canadian canoes.
			Airport Pick-up Service
