				Self Catering 1 Bedroom Cottage + Adega Guest Room Sleeps up to 6 Location: Hortas, Alvaiázere Near Ansião
			Our cosy holiday cottage ´The Donkey House´ is situated in a peaceful forested valley 20 kms north of the central Portuguese town of Tomar. The surrounding area is perfect for walking, cycling, horse riding..
			Located at our 7 acre Quinta we also have a small equestrian centre on our farm, where visitors are able to ride Portuguese Lusitano horses, either as a separate activity during their holiday, or as an organised riding holiday. Lessons and hacks in the surrounding lanes and beautiful forests can be arranged for beginners upwards. The Donkey House is a self catering cottage which sleeps 2-3 people and has its own private garden. Further accommodation for up to 3 people is available in ´The Adega´ in the farm house.
			The cottage has 1 double bedroom a separate bathroom with shower, basin and toilet. An open plan kitchen/living room, which also has a comfortable sofa bed. There is a gas hob, electric oven and microwave, dining table and chairs. The living room area has a TV, DVD player, wireless internet connection and CD/Radio. The cottage has central heating, plus electric heaters if necessary for cooler evenings and in the winter. A cot is available for a child up to 3 years old.
				Outside there is a BBQ area and garden furniture in the patio and enclosed garden. Mountain bikes are also available for guest use. Adega Guest Room The Adega guest room with on-suite is a converted large room next to the kitchen in the farm house. The guest room used to be where the previous owners made their wine and stored it in huge barrels. We still call it ´The Adega´, but it now has a double bed, and a single bed, with large double glass doors that open out onto a veranda. The guest room can be accessed from the outside so that anyone staying can park at the side of the house and enter from the garden veranda doors.
			There is a bathroom with shower and ample heating in the winter to make it warm throughout and beautifully cool in the summer. It is possible to rent this room in addition to The Donkey House, in which case catering is all done in the cottage. Guests staying in the Adega have use of the main kitchen for making breakfast and refreshments throughout the day. There is a fridge for guests use and we can recommend a number of cafes and restaurants for lunch and dinner. There is also the use of a ´put you up´ bed, should a further person need to be accommodated. There is a £5.00 per night supplement if the extra bed is required.
