Quinta da Lapa offers a self catering yurt and guest room in a tranquil and relaxing location less than 5 minutes from Graça, Pedrógão Grande.

Quinta da Lapa is the perfect place for those looking to relax, unwind and take in the beautiful surroundings. The 10 acre quinta has its own private woodland, large flat terraces, private parking, a splash pool and a sauna.

Located in a small hamlet just outside Graça near Pedrógão Grande and Figueiró dos Vinhos. Quinta da Lapa is an ideal location for families, couples, walkers, cyclists, photographers and if you are visiting the area to view properties.

For guests with young children a cot is available (a small charge applies).

For your comfort during the winter months the yurt has a log burner.

The Yurt

The large self catering yurt has hard wood flooring, one double bed, a small table and two chairs, shelves and clothes hanging space. Outside the yurt there is a small private terrace with fantastic views towards the woodland.

 

The Guest Room

For larger groups a spacious guest room is available to rent in conjuntion with the yurt. The guest room has hard wood flooring, one double bed, a comfortable sofa that converts to a full sized single bed, shelves and clothes hanging space and a flat screen tv with dvd player. During the winter months the room has radiator central heating.

The bathroom and kitchen are located a few meters from the yurt and guest room in a separate building.

The kitchen has a sink, fridge, 2 ring gas hob and storage cupboards.

The bathroom is fully tiled and has a shower, toilet and hand basin with mirrored cupboard above.

Outside Areas

Quinta da Lapa is set in 10 acres of large flat terraces and has a private woodland. During the summer months the splash pool is available. The splash pool is located on a small terrace close to the self catering room, where you can relax and take in the beautiful surroundings.

There are lots of large terraces with stone walls for children to play and plenty of trees for shading.

Please note that the terraces are not fenced, care should be taken when standing or walking near the edges.

A short distance from the accommodation Quinta da Lapa has a donkey and chickens which guests are welcome to visit.

BBQ Evenings

During your stay your hosts offer a BBQ evening once a week held in the central walled courtyard. BBQ evenings are an optional extra, please enquire for full details and prices on arrival.

Kayak Trips

Quinta da Lapa offers kayak trips for guests. Your host will drop you off and pick you up. kayaking offers a fantastic opportunity to experience wildlife in their environment and it's a great way to see the beautiful scenery using a non-powered craft, leaving no carbon footprint.

Bike Hire

Quinta da Lapa has 4 bikes for guest hire, 2 mountain bikes and 2 tandems. Cycling is a great way to visit the picturesque towns and villages.

Sauna

There is no better treatment for the skin than a sauna. Saunas help cleanse and rejuvenate from the inside out. Quinta da Lapa offers sauna sessons to guests, please enquire for details and prices.

Collection Service

For guests who prefer not to drive Quinta da Lapa offers a collection service from Pombal train station. Please enquire for full details and prices.

Location

The market town Figueiró dos Vinhos is only a 10 minute drive and has all the ameneties you would expect of a large town, supermarkets, cafe bars, restaurants, shops and weekly farmers markets.

Graça is a sub-municipality of Pedrógão Grande. Pedrógão Grande is a 10 minute drive from Quinta da Lapa and has all the ameneties you would expect of a large town, cafe bars, restaurants, shops, banks, DIY suppliers, cinema, internet cafe, schools, health centre and pharmacies.

At Pedrógão Grande you will find the Barragem Cabril which was constructed in 1954 in the Rio Zêzere to form a lagoon area (albufeira) of 55km. The lagoon is bordered by pine and eucalyptus trees and the dam provides domestic electricity. The Barragem Cabril is used locally for swimming, fishing, kayaking and scuba diving and has a floating swimming pool.

The Silver Coast (Costa Prata)

 

Figueira da Foz, Costa Prata

Figuiera da Foz is our nearest large coastal resort and approximately 1 hours drive west of Graça.

There are miles of golden sandy beaches, lots of cafe bars, restuarants, shops and a casino with late night caberet (11-12pm, Wed-Sun).

Praia do Pedrógão, Costa Prata

Praia do Pedrógão is a small coastal town west of Pombal with beautiful white sandy beaches.

There a small promanade with cafe bars and band stand. Praia do Pedrógão is approximately 50 minutes drive from Graça.
