Rose Cottage offers relaxed painting holidays in Portugal where you will have fun learning to paint and seeing the local sights in the beautiful Alentejo region near Évora.
  
       
       
       
     
Painting courses are tailored for beginners using oils. You will be taught how to mix and apply to the canvas and produce your own paintings.

Your host and tutor Valerie studied art in France, England, Lisbon and the Algarve and her work has been exhibited in the Algarve.

Rose Cottage is the ideal location, a rural hideaway on a five hectare organic olive quinta. Lessons are held on the patio 'plein-air' where you will be patiently guided and encouraged by your tutor to develop fantastic new skills. You will be assisted on your own composition or you may choose from various computer images and photos.

Rose Cottage is a detached property with one double bedroom, a modern shower bathroom, an open plan lounge, reading area with double sofa bed and a kitchenette.
  
       
       
       
     
The cottage has beamed ceilings with a mixture of antique and modern, cosy and comfortable. The lounge has English satellite tv, a dvd player, broadband wi-fi for laptops and opens onto a private patio area with views over the olive grove.

Rose Cottage is fully equiped, all linen and towels are provided. The kitchenette has a 4 ring hob, grill and oven, fridge and washing machine. The lounge has a sofabed, log burner (for chilly winter evenings) and comfortable seating for up to four people, the dining area has a table and seating for two.

Rose cottage is a 95 minute drive from Lisbon airport, 2 hours from Faro Airport and has an excellent rail service to and from Faro and Lisbon. Due to the location of the property a car is essential.
