Monte Redondo is approximately 1½ hours drive from Lisbon and 2 hours from Porto with good road and rail links.

The nearest beach Praia da Pedrógão is only 8-9 kilometers away. Praia da Pedrógão, has a beautiful white sandy beach you will find cafe bars and restaurants, a small promenade and plenty of parking areas. Praia da Pedrógão is not as well known as other 'tourist attraction' beaches.

The seaside resort of Praia da Vieira is approximately 20 minutes by car. The northern end of the beach is very popular with local line fishermen where the Rio Lis flows into the Atlantic. There plenty of parking spaces and a beach bar on the south bank of the river.

Inland from San Pedro you will find the large town of Marinha Grande. Marinha Grande has a glass museum situated in the centre of town.

Marinha Grande is the home of glass and lampshades, there are many workshops and factories with showrooms and discount outlets, it is also possible to watch glass blowing at some locations.
