Jardim da Tia is a single story stone cottage which has been lovingly restored by its English/French owners and offers self catering holidays in a small hamlet on the edge of Serpins close to Lousã

Jardim da Tia has two bedrooms, one double and one with two single beds, a large family bathroom, lounge and kitchen dining room.

Outside there is a wrap around terrace with wonderful views of the mountains and a separate private walled terrace with seating and bbq area.

Jardim da Tia is in a tranquil and relaxing location walking distance to the village Serpins and a short drive to Lousã

For your comfort during the winter months there is a cosy log burner.

On arrival you will be greeted with Cath Kidston bedlinen, hand made toiletries, Claus Porto soaps and fresh flowers.

A welcome hamper is also included, containing tea, coffee (filter and instant), filtered water, milk, white or red wine or beer, free range eggs, muesli, seasonal fruit and vegetables, olive oil, local cheese, organic home made jam and honey from the Serra da Lousa.

For guests with younger children a cot, high chair, potty, toilet seat, childrens plates and cutlery are available.

The master bedroom has a double bed with bedside tables and lamps, a single wardrobe, dressing table and full length mirror. Above the bed there is a mosquito net and the windows have internal shutters.

The 2nd bedroom has two single beds, bedside lamps, a storage cupboard and wardrobe. Above the beds there are mosquito nets and the windows have internal shutters.

The light and airy lounge, decorated in shabby chic style has two sofas, a flat screen tv with dvd/cd player, an ipod charger and speakers and a selection of books, games, maps and dvd's.

The fully equiped kitchen dining room has an oven and hob, a fridge freezer, microwave, coffee maker and sandwich toaster, iron and ironing board. All crockery, pots and pans are provided. The dining area has a table and four chairs.

The large family bathroom has a bath with shower above, a toilet and wash basin.

Bathroom towels, a hairdryer, hand made toiletries and Claus Porto soaps are provided.

A door from the kitchen leads out to the wrap around terrace with panoramic mountain views. There is a table, four chairs and sun umbrella, perfect for dining alfresco and a covered area with comfortable seating, the perfect place to sit and relax away from the midday sun.

Through the terraced garden there is a private and secluded sun terrace with built in seating and a bbq.

Two mountain bikes are available for guest use. Mountain bike scrambles down the mountain can also be arranged.

The single story accommodation is on the ground floor so is suitable for both able bodied and disabled guests.

Jardim da Tia is in a fantastic location in a small hamlet of only 12 houses. The village Serpins is walking distance and has all the ameneties you would expect of a large village. A small supermaket, cafe bars, one restaurant, a pharmacy, health centre and bakery.

Serpins hosts a weekly farmers market every Sunday, has a railway station and praia fluvial (inland river beach)

Góis is a picturesque riverside town in the popular tourist region of the Serra da Beira on the edge of the Ceira River.

Góis has all the amenities you would expect of a large town, shops, banks, restaurants, cafe bars, pharmacy and weekly market. A river runs through the centre of town for sunbathing and swimming, the shallow waters are safe for young and old.

During the summer months the cafe bars on the rivers edge are the perfect place to relax, have a cool refreshing drink and watch the world go by.

Vila Nova de Poiares

Vila Nova de Poiares is located east of Coimbra and an area of natural beauty, stunning mountains leading down to large valleys with rivers of crystal clear water.

Vila Nova de Poiares has all the ameneties you would expect of a large town, shops, banks restaurants, cafe bars, medical centre, post office and supermarkets. An outdoor weekly farmers market selling fresh local produce is held every Monday.
