Florença Jardins e Apartamentos is a lovingly restored former farmhouse which has been converted into 5 luxury self catering apartments located in Cumieira, just outside the historic and pretty village Penela.

Florença Jardins e Apartamentos has a swimming pool, landscaped gardens, a raised sun terrace with bbq area and wonderful views of the valley and mountains beyond.

Walking distance from the apartments is a cafe bar/restaurant.

The five apartments each have their own private entrance, double bedrooms, private bathroom, lounge and modern fitted kitchen.

Three apartments are located on the 1st floor and two on the ground floor.

Florença Jardins e Apartamentos can accommodate 10-12 people and is the perfect location for large families, friends and special interest groups.

Apartment One

Located on the 1st floor, the main entrance opens onto an open plan lounge dining kitchen area. The modern fitted kitchen has an oven and hob with extractor above, an american style fridge freezer, washing machine,

dishwasher and microwave. All pots, pans and cutlery etc are included.

The dining area has a log burner, dining table and 4 chairs.

The lounge area has a 2 seater sofa, flat screen tv with UK satellite channels, dvd player and sterio system.

Separated by a screen, the bedroom area has a double bed with beside tables and a wardrobe.

The ensuite bathroom has a bath with shower above, vanity sink unit with mirror above, toilet and bidet.

Apartment Two

Located on the 1st floor, the main entrance opens onto a cosy lounge which has a 2 seater sofa, flat screen tv with UK satellite tv channels, dvd player and sterio system.

Traditional double doors in the centre of the lounge open onto the modern fitted kitchen which has an oven and hob, washing machine, fridge freezer, dish washer and microwave.

The bedroom has a double bed, bedside tables and wardrobes.

The ensuite bathroom has a bath with shower above, vanity sink unit with mirror above, toilet and bidet.

Apartment Three

Located on the first floor the main entrance opens onto an open plan lounge kitchen dining area.

The modern fitted kitchen has an oven and hob with extractor above, a fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave.

The lounge dining area has a table and four chairs, a comfortable 3 seater sofa, log burner, flat screen tv with UK satellite tv channels, dvd player and sterio system.

The bedroom has a double bed, bedside tables and fitted wardrobes.

The ensuite bathroom has a large walkin shower, vanity sink unit with mirror above, toilet and bidet.

Apartment Four

Located on the ground floor the main entrance opens onto a small hall. The open plan lounge kitchen dining area has a modern fitted kitchen with oven, hob and extractor above, a fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave.

The dining area has a large table and four chairs and the lounge area has a large leather sofa, flat screen tv, dvd player and sterios system.

The bedroom has a double bed, bedside tables and lamps and fitted wardrobes.

The separate bathroom, has a large walk-in shower, vanity sink unit with mirrow above and a toilet.

Apartment Five

Located on the ground floor the main entrance opens onto a reception room with views onto the lower garden and sonderful external views of the eastern elevation.

The large kitchen lounge dining room has a modern fitted kitchen with oven, hob and extractor above, a fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. The dining area has a large solid oak dining table and 6 leather chairs, and the lounge area has a comfortable 3 seater sofa, log burner, flat screen tv with UK satellite tv channels, dvd player and sterio system.

The master bedroom has a double bed with beside tables and lamps and fitted wardrobes. The ensuite bathroom has a large walkin shower, vanity sink unit with mirror above, toilet and bidet.

The 2nd bedroom has a double bed with beside tables and lamps and fitted wardrobes.

The separate family bathroom has a shower, toilet and vanity sink unit.

Outside Areas

lorenca Jardins e Apartamentos has two walled and gated gardens. The lower garden has raised flowerbeds and feature waterfall. The perfect place to sit and relax away from the mid-day sun.

The first floor apartments open onto a large raised terrace with tables and chairs, and wonderful views across the valley. A gate leads into the landscaped gardens, swimming pool and sun terrace.

Location

Florença Jardins e Apartamentos is located in a large village close to the towns of Penela and Avelar.

Florença Jardins e Apartamentos receives fresh bread delivered daily and just a short walk away you will find a friendly local cafe bar/shop that serves lunchtime meals and the village social club.

The historic and pretty village Penela is just a few minutes drive away. Penela Castle sits on a granite mountain and occupies an area of approximately half an hectare. The architecture is a mixture of Romanesque and International Gothic styles.

The large town Avelar is a 5 minute drive away and has all the ameneties you would expect of a large town, banks, post office, supermarkets, cafe bars, restaurants and a garden centre.

West of Florença Jardins e Apartamentos you will find the large town Pombal which is home to a large water park. Pombal water park has 10 water slides and 2 separate pools overlooking Pombal town. There is a restaurant and snack bar onsite, showers and lockers. Ample free parking spaces.

East of Florença Jardins e Apartamentos you will find the town Castanheira de Pera nestled in a valley on the south side of the Lousã mountain range. Castanheira de Pera is home to the Praia das Rocas open air swimming pool with wave machine located in the centre of town. Sunbeds and unbrellas available for hire, ample free parking spaces.
