Our fishing holidays are designed to appeal to both large and small groups.
Our angling holidays are tailored to suit you. You will stay in one of our 3 self catering cottages and escorted to some of the best fresh water fishing locations in central Portugal.

Central portugal has a rich diversity of freshwater species, some of which may be unfamiliar to the UK & Northern European angler. These include black bass, carp, barbel, trout, tench, boga, chub, zander, pike, crucian carp, and perca sol.

Accommodation

You will be accommodated in one of our three self catering cottages. Each cottage is fully equiped and has a modern kitchen, comfortable lounge with uk satellite tv, bathroom and 1 or 2 bedrooms.

Casa do Po - 1 Bedroom, Sleeps 3

Casa do Po has one large bedroom with 3 sinlge beds and ensuite bathroom with a shower, wc and handbasin. There is a comfortable lounge with a sofa and armchairs and UK satellite tv. The modern fitted kitchen has a gas oven and hob, fridge, microwave and washing machine, all pots, pans and cutlery are provide. Outside there is a small walled courtyard with views of the surrounding woodland.

River Cottage - 2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 5

River Cottage has two large bedrooms and can accommodate up to 5 people, 3 single beds in the master room and 2 single beds in the 2nd room. There is a separate bathroom with a shower, wc and handbasin. The spacious open plan lounge dining room has two sofas and UK satellite tv, a dvd player and a dining table and chairs. The modern fitted kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave and washing machine, all pots, pans and cutlery are provide. Outside there is a private parking area, garden and terrace with views of the valley and woodland.

Casa Aldeia - 1 Bedroom, Sleeps 2

Casa Aldeia has one bedroom with 2 single beds. There is a separate bathroom with an enclosed jet system shower, wc and handbasin. The open plan lounge kitchen dining room has two sofas and UK satellite tv and a dining table and 4 chairs. The kitchen area has a gas oven and hob, fridge and microwave, all pots, pans and cutlery are provide. Outside there is a small private terrace and parking area with views of the valley and woodland.

Surrounding Areas and Villages

Fishing-Portugal is situated centrally between Lisbon and Porto airports, both approximately 2 ½ hours by car and 20 minutes from Pedrógão Grande, a natural lake, ideal for swimming, fishing and scuba diving.
Campelo - only a 3 minute drive which has a cafe bar, small mini mercado, postoffice and popular trout farm/restaurant.
Castanheira de Pera - only a 10 minute drive which has shops, mini supermarkets, bar/cafes, restaurants, chemist, bakery, post office, two banks, medical centre and Praia das Rocas (open air swimming pool with wave machine).
Alge - less than a 5 minute drive, village social club with bar/restaurant and praia fluvial (river beach).
Louçainha -only a 12 minute drive, praia fluvial (river beach) and cafe bar/restaurant.
