			Fresh water fishing in Central Portugal
			A wide variety of fish can be found in the rivers and lakes of Portugal. Carp fishing is especially enjoyed by many anglers. Fresh water fishing is a growing sport in central Portugal and the waters are excellent. The fresh water fishing season runs from April to November. Fishing is strictly forbidden between sunset and sunrise.

			Fresh Water Fishing Rules and Regulations
			A fishing licence is required, licences can be purchased at fishing tackle shops or from a Multibanco (ATM) machine. A licence will cost approximately €10.00 Euros. Night fishing is not allowed. Only 2 rods per angler allowed. Keep nets must be at least 3 meters long and have a diameter of 50cm.
