Casal do Pau is a beautifully restored former farmhouse offering self catering in a tranquil location with private river frontage and magnificent views.

Casal do Pau has 3 bedrooms and can sleep up to 8 adults.

Two bedrooms are in the main house and one large bedroom is downstairs with its own private entrance.

Outside there is a large garden, sun terrace, a secluded walled courtyard and private parking area.

Casal do Pau is in a private location on the edge of the village with wonderful unspoilt views.

The main entrance opens onto a large open plan lounge kitchen dining area with high ceilings and exposed beams. There are two comfortable sofas, a dining table with seating for eight and a modern fitted kitchen.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering and has fitted cupboards, a gas hob and oven, fridge freezer and a microwave.

All pots, pans and crockery are provided.

French doors from the dining area lead into the master bedroom which has a double bed with bedside table, a log burner, two comfortable sofas, TV, sterio, dvd player and a selection of books and films.

The family bathroom has a wash hand basin, large walk in shower, a full size bath, washing machine, toilet and bidet.

At the end of the hall is the 2nd bedroom which has a double mezannine bed with single bed beneath and a log burner.

The third bedroom is located down stairs in the secluded walled courtyard. There is a double bed and a single bed, two sets of french doors open onto the courtyard.

The front door opens onto a raised sun terrace with table and chairs and wonderful uninterrupted panoramic views.

Steps lead down to the private walled courtyard, which has a barbecue and stone pizza oven, the perfect place for dining alfesco.

There are lovely gardens with stunning views along the valley lead first to the private swimming beach and on towards a deep gorge. This gorge is a much treasured local swimming spot.

The picturesque village of Vila Nova do Ceira is a 10 minute gentle stroll where you will find well stocked shops, cafes, bars, cashpoint, pharmacy and a fuel station.

Góis is a picturesque riverside town in the popular tourist region of the Serra da Beira on the edge of the Ceira River.

Góis has all the amenities you would expect of a large town, shops, banks, restaurants, cafe bars, pharmacy and weekly market. A river runs through the centre of town for sunbathing and swimming, the shallow waters are safe for young and old.

Coimbra, Portugal's 3rd city is a 40 minute drive and home to one of the worlds oldest universities, founded in 1290 by King Dinis. Coimbra sits on the edge of the River Mondego. In the old town narrow cobbled streets lead to hidden squares with cafe bars, shops and ancient churches.

Within a 1 hour drive lies the coast of Figueira da Foz, ideal for surf and beach lovers. Figueira da Foz has lots of cafe bars, restuarants, shops and a casino.

The Roman ruins at Conimbriga are the largest roman ruins in Portugal and a national monument.

The national forest and palace of Bussaco, 105 hectares of centuries old walled forest, planted by the order of the Barefoot Carmelites in the 17th century.

Porto airport is a 2 hour drive and Lisbon airport is 3 hours.
