Camping in Portugal is one of the most popular forms of accommodation. Portugal is one of the warmest European countries, Spring and Summer are hot and sunny with temperatures climbing as high as 45ºC. Autumn is typically wet, yet it's not uncommon to have long warm sunny spells with clear blue skies.

Central Portugal has beautiful countryside and mountain ranges with breath taking panoramic views.

Campsite accommodation is usually charged on a per person, per tent, caravan or motorhome per night basis. Car parking is also charged separately per night. This may sound like an expensive way to calculate costs but in general it usually equates to around 5 or 6 Euros per person per night.

The majority of camping and caravanning parks in Portugal are located in beautiful woodland areas or close to the coast with excellent facilities including modern shower and toilet blocks, cafe bars and restaurants either onsite or close by.
