Archery - Fun for all the family

Archery is one of the few sports where everyone can compete or take part at an equal level.

Groups and individuals regardless of their skill level can have a go at hitting the gold with Archery instructor and former county champion ´Eve´ (a qualified coache, from beginner to tournament standard).

Archery sessions take place in the private grounds of their home in Coelhal located on the outskirts of Castanheira de Pera.

All equipment is provided and after a brief safety talk you will be guided in the art of archery

Price €5 (euros per person)

Time limit 1 to 2 hours. Under 16´s must be accompanied by an adult

Canoeing on the beautiful Rio Zezere, take in the stunning natural and unspoilt surroundings as you glide through the water in one of our Canadian canoes.

All equipment is provided and after a short safety talk you will be guided in the art of canoeing.

Full day and half day trips including lunch.

A three hectare farm with riding stables and excellent facilities for keeping and training competition horses, including a full sized 20 x 60 arena and extensive turnout paddocks.

We are able to offer the following:

A variety of tailor made riding holidays to suit your requirements, using our Lusitanos for hacking and lessons;
Lusitanos for sale that have been produced for sale here;
Training and development of horses kept here on a livery basis;
Accommodation for people coming to look at horses, or for those also wishing to make a holiday of their visit to central Portugal;

Tenpin bowling is a sport that all ages can play. Cosy Bowling has 12 lanes, a bar which also serves snacks and a games room. Open 7 days a week.

Club Bowling - Vila Nova de Poiares

Bowling, Disco, Arcade Machines and Pool Tables. Six bowling lanes, four pool tables and upstairs there is a disco bar which gets into full swing at midnight.

When you arrive the doorman gives you a small card (one per person) all games, drinks etc are marked on the card and you pay when you are finished. The doorman then checks and collects the card on exit.
